Confidence gained
"Just wanted to drop you a note on how TTouch has benefited my horse Harry since I took the Tellington training at Bitterroot Ranch in June. Harry seems more cooperative as far as his work.
"He is more confident on trail rides. He does not dance around on the cross ties. He stands patiently. I have increased the length of each cross tie to allow Harry to move freely, lower his head, and decrease the tension in his neck and back. He seems to really enjoy the mouth work, and hands on experience. Given our busy lives, most of the time I would rush from work to the stable and spend the little time I had before riding cleaning him. Being gray (he certainly requires more cleaning maintenance than dark colored horses).
"I now take that extra time to work with TTouch, so he now anticipates a more pleasurable experience than just the usual cleaning ritual.
"My riding instructor has also seen a difference in him as well. I gave her my TTouch video to view. She has reviewed in several times and is now using the Tellington method on her horse as well. I just wanted to tell everyone how TTouch has made a difference in mine and Harry's life. Thank You, Linda Tellington Jones!"

Donkeys and Horses
"The TTouch you taught me in Santa Fe, has significantly changed my life with my herd!!! Yesterday my farrier came and we walked into a large meadow, a herd of five came to us and surrounded us and we trimmed at LIBERTY! These are the same horses that used to run from the thought of getting their hooves trimmed!!!!
"My horses now trot to me nickering when they see me coming. Four of my big donkeys, who have always been so standoffish, now seek me out and line up to be TTouched! It is an AMAZING transformation!
"The effects are also evident in my relationships with the love of my life as well as myself – love and heart hugs work wonders!!" Aloha!! Patrice
Just Don't Touch Me!
"I am a qualified instructor who has moved away from traditional methods to teaching TTouch and Centered Riding. Needless to say most people are skeptical and reluctant to change until they see what can be achieved. An example is that of a three-year-old gelding just off the racetrack who was headshy, foot shy, tummy shy. n other words: Just don't touch me! used TTouch on him following the basic program from the video. Two minutes later his astonished owner touched his face for the first time in the two weeks she had him." – Lee Hannah
Lives saved!
"Tellington TTouch methods have saved the lives of numerous horses I have owned. These severely abused and lame horses had gone through sale barns. We have two of them yet and they are Search and Rescue horses and the best in the group. With these horses, we have been paid to be in parades and once we were asked to lead the parade. They have been trail ridden and driven in all terrains and weather; roped off of; jumped and completed 2nd level dressage. One session of mouth work “cured” a sensitive biter. This horse had been owned by a friend for four years. After TTouch, my friend could finally kiss and hug her horse."

Nervous horse
"I watched Linda work on a student’s horse at the Equifest of Kansas. The horse was a 10-year-old gelding - Q4, Arab, Paint cross. He has a history of nervousness, tight back and flipping his nose in his bridle while under saddle - even on very loose reins. Linda spent about 15-20 minutes working him with TTouches and through the labyrinth. She then rode him with the balance rein and training bit.
"She was out of time and so only rode the horse a few minutes. She then stayed on him and rode him down to the barn to show his owner the difference of how he was going. His owner was too nervous to try riding him with the four reins and balance rein, so I got on the horse to try it.
"For the first time, the horse was holding himself in the carriage I know he’s capable of. His back had come up and felt like he had grown 4” under me. His frame was round and he was feather light in my hand. With the lightest of touch on the top rein and balance rein, he responded. He was like melted butter! I didn’t want to stop. It was a WONDERFUL experience!"

Nipping colt
"At one year of age my young Swedish Warmblood colt was beginning to nip at people and because these horses are very impressive in size, I was really concerned over how bad he would become as a breeding stallion. I took him to Linda's clinic and was amazed with the mouth work. After several sessions he stopped nipping. Although hormones do affect this behavior, I theorize now that this colt did not have a sense of his own mouth.
"Every once in a while, he will LIP me, and I simply work the entire mouth. He has shown me when he needs the TTouch and I'm happy to oblige. I might also add that he had the habit of sticking his tongue out the side of his mouth, a terrible thing for a dressage horse to do and is penalized by judges. After I began to do mouth work this behavior has totally disappeared and has not occurred since. I am looking forward to a long and successful career on this colt in the arena and in the breeding barn I know with the Tellington TTouch method and the support system everything is possible."

Older horses
"The TTEAM Newsletter is my “life line” to keep in touch with all the stuff you people get up to. Every now and again there is a surge of interest here in New Zealand, but for me it just keeps on getting better and better. Results mostly happen in minutes for me now, and people are amazed.
"I am always getting asked when I am going to compete my horse even though people cannot believe his age is 24 years old. Tellington Method had done so much for him. He had an accident 12 years ago that left him quite crippled and without the Tellington TTouch method, he would not be with me. He has taught me so much and given me some amazing experiences and may lovely rides.
"Thank you for sharing TTouch with me and many other people too. Animals, worldwide, love what the Tellington TTouch Method brings to them. And never let us forget the great job Robyn has done for so long bringing the written word to all of us TTouch people."
– Coral Boulton in New Zealand
"After seeing Instructor, Edie Jane Eaton’s demonstration, I have been using the Tellington TTouch exercises for two weeks and my l9 year old advanced dressage thoroughbred’s back is definitely more supple. And engagement is becoming elastic. He was stiff, and I have had problems getting him to use his hind-end to engage without getting stiffer in his back. No more!"

Paste Worming
"I guess horses, like people, can develop a dislike for something over a period of time, especially when it becomes associated in their minds with some similar, but bad experience. Out elder mare, Canadair, developed a real hate for paste worming over a period of years, until our only recourse was to fit her with a snug, stout halter, lash her head firmly against a solid pole (of the power-pole type!) and wait until she gave up resisting, sighed, and let us do it.
"She always looked faintly surprised after, as it was never (in recent years) as bad-tasting as she’d expected. Mind you, she's not an evil-minded horse, never bit or struck at us, just tried with all her strength and skill to keep her mouth out of reach. It took, I suppose, no more than five minutes in all, from haltering to worming, but it was nerve-wracking for me to handle her enormous resistance. In fact, I always postponed worming the entire stable until me son who was very quiet and cool with horses could be home to help.
"Then I learned the mouth work at a Tellington TTouch weekend clinic and before the next worming day I gave the mare some “treatments.” Hey! She loved it! The mare that disliked anything going on around her head! We decided to try the worming sans power-pole, just my son’s hand on her halter, head over stall door, but essentially free to charge backwards. I worked the gums, played piano on her tongue, gently worked the nostrils, sides of the mouth and then slipped in the paste wormer - MAGIC!! No fight, no fuss, and all over in a matter of seconds! No fluke either; we’ve wormed twice since the breakthrough. And next time I’m going to have a go at doing her all by myself!"

Prepare for Injections
"I wanted to use TTouch to make getting injections less a problem for my horses who got very upset during injections and then are very stiff after. I finally got my horses vaccinated. I appreciate your input. I started working on Bandit 25 minutes before the vet was to arrive. I concentrated on Bear Touches on his neck, and did ear, mouth, & tail TTouches. There was a squall coming in. The wind was howling and it was starting to rain. Bandit stayed completely calm while I was working on him.
"At the time, the vet was to arrive, we got a call saying she was called on emergency and would be here later. The weather continued to be terrible so I didn't get to work on him again before he got his shots. He was calm during the vaccinations and the vet commented that both of my horses were calmer.
"After the injections, I did Lying Leopard touches on Bandit's neck for about 10 minutes and later in the day, I did another five minutes. He had a very mild reaction compared to previous results. The next day he could lower his head to eat grass and did not seem "sick." His neck was somewhat stiff because he couldn't turn very far laterally, but was better the next day. I can't help thinking he would have done better if things had gone according to plan!
"I feel that the regular TTouch work I have been doing is having a calming effect on our two high strung Arabs. They have behaved better in situations where they previously have gotten pretty nervous."

Professional trainer impressed!
"This TTouch Training showed me:
effectiveness in changes
new realizations
confidence
philosophy
strength to be “weird”
appreciation and honor to all animals - we are all the same at cell level.
"At the end of this week-long training (my 6th or 7th, I think), I am once again struck by how powerful the TTouch method is. The combination of the TTouch body work, the ground work and leading, and the overall philosophy creates overall changes in the horses and in the people working with them. I have never seen this in any other system in my 25 years of working with animals.
"These competitive event horses began with very obvious problems: stiffness, short-strided, uneven gait, high headedness, dragging the rider to the jumps, kicking, biting, unwillingness, lack of attention. In every case there was dramatic improvement.
"We were fortunate to have top level riders who showed us their horse being led and being ridden nearly every day. This allowed us to see the changes in the horses after being worked each day by the clinic participants. It also allowed us to see the riders soften and ride more correctly after using the specialized TTouch equipment in their riding sessions. It was a joy to observe the riders' pleasant surprise as the horses became easier and more enjoyable to ride.
"After working as an animal professional for almost 20 years, I was so impressed by Tellington TTouch effectiveness. In the years since then, I’ve used it more and more in my work. I continue to learn better ways to work with animals through TTouch trainings and to be constantly amazed by the changes the TTouch method for horses brings about.

Saddle problem
"I’d like to share a experience. I was given a 25 year old pony mare for my pilot summer camp program. The pony had a long history of reliability under saddle, a real baby-sitter, once saddled and mounted. She has always been difficult to saddle and refuses to stand in cross ties.
"On the first morning of camp, she leaped around like a gazelle while my assistant and I tried to girth her up. We knew the kids would be frightened of her, a bad start for their first lessons. I said to my assistant, let’s try some TTouch body work. It sure can’t make things any worse. The mare’s neck was tense, so we started there and then on the saddle-girth areas.
"The first two days, she tensed and moved a little but nothing like before, and we were girthing very slowly. Then I discovered that what really relaxed her was rubbing the tip of her left ear between thumb and forefinger while my assistant saddled her. After camp I did the same thing while a child rider saddled her. The payoff came one evening when my husband and I promised a trail ride to two students, 13 year old girls. One had had 10 months of riding and stable work with me. The other had two weeks. When we adults arrived in the barn, all four horses were groomed and tacked, including Shadow the pony!
"The kids had watched me working on Shadow’s ear and decided to try it. They said she never budged as they girthed up. For two real “green horns” to be able to apply the TTouch effectively, it has to be simple and universally useful.
"Shadow never moves when being saddled as long as someone works her ear. Since she is good in the stall and there is no need to cross tie her, so we haven’t crossed that bridge yet.
"People who have shown Shadow for years say it can’t be true, that she’ll suddenly leap again some day, but her neck remains relaxed and her eye soft. I was impressed that TTouch worked at all on her, since for 25 years she’s done her “gazelle” act, but I was even more surprised that two children could apply the technique effectively. Also, none of the kids, nor my assistant, had ever seen TTouch-work, so their camp experience included something very special.
"Thanks again! TTouch is like ripples on a pond. It keeps spreading and reaching further."

Short Attention Span
"My horse is a thirteen year old, dark brown, nice looking and intelligent Trakehner mare, Laroma. Her owner told that she is a very sweet horse to have around. But when riding her, she had trouble to keep her under control.
"The saddle did not fit properly, so of course, Karina, also got another, better fitting saddle.
"First of all, I took Karina to do the Tellington Ground Work. I noticed that it didn’t take much to draw her attention away. She could not concentrate well. When she is really distracted, for example by grazing animals on the neighboring meadow, it was possible only to work her in the Homing Pigeon. My objective was to lower her head and make the work so interesting to her that she did not need to direct her attention elsewhere. For this purpose, I also applied a Body wrap.
"Karina cooperated and was quickly familiar with many exercises: Labyrinth, Pick-up Sticks, Barrels, Wheel Tires, Poles, going over and under Plastic and the Statue.
"Soon she followed us without halter and the chain. Of course, she still looks with interest at other animals. But now, a simple "Hallo” is sufficient as an invitation to work together. The TTouch at the head, neck, tail and legs also helped her to relax her body."

Workshop attendees comment!
"This line of work has opened up a new world of alternative training which is sympathetic and supportive to the horse. The results were outstanding and immediate."
– John
"TTOUCH has awakened me to a whole new (wonderful) world. I feel things and look at things (animals, people, etc.) in a renewed and understanding way. I myself feel different too. When in a situation I handle it much differently than before. I have stopped blaming the animal/person and begun to search for the real cause of the problem."
– Sharon Crement
"A novice can do the Tellington TTouch Method It's easy to make changes very quickly even for a novice person that doesn’t do the work as effectively as an experienced person. It’s not necessary to know the work perfectly.
"It's truly amazing to be able to make changes in an animal’s behavior, physical being or mental state, and have a reciprocation take place. For every animal I see being helped by TTouch, I always feel I have learned and changed in the process as well."
- Amanda L.
"The Tellington Method teaches me to be a partner with my horse so I can learn to be a team. It gives me the tools to LISTEN, OBSERVE, COMMUNICATE and then give back information to our animal friends so that they can teach me to become more effective. TTouch brings joy to my horse and me."
– Amy Kendis
"This workshop has totally changed the way I view myself as a partner to my horse, our relationship and the relationship of the people and horses around me."
– Whitney Knauer
"The evening the clinic ended, my daughter was riding her Appaloosa mare (not at the clinic) in a drill team practice. The horse was a bit antsy and would not stand quietly. Rather than disciplining her as I have in the past, I spent a few minutes doing mouth work and some touches along her neck. She settled down immediately and stood quietly."
– Denise Schoenladler
"Thank you for the marvelous lessons, ideas and awareness you’ve brought to my life. My animals, family and I appreciate what I’ve learned from your lessons, patience, carefulness etc. I enjoy meeting new horses and watching, reading and understanding them because of what I’ve learned from 'Getting in TTouch' and being able to help relax, soften and relieve tension from horses whose caretakers haven’t had the chance to study and use your methods."
